Chester County-based LGBT Equality Alliance will host a tea dance this Sunday afternoon at Barnaby’s in West Chester from 4-8 PM.
Originally named LGBTea Dances, LGBT Equality Alliance hosted tea dances on a monthly basis to offer social activities to area LGBT community members.
Now in its third year, the organization hasn’t forgotten its roots. Although they still host tea dances on occasion, the 501(C)3 non-profit now focuses its outreach efforts on health, wellness, education, and advocacy in addition to social support for area LGBT residents.
This month, LGBT Equality Alliance will host its first annual tea dance at Barnaby’s in West Chester.
Although the event is free to attend for those 21+, donations are kindly requested at door. Donations valued at $20 or more earns attendees a free gift!
Food can be ordered from the menu and the bar will be open. DJ Sally Bauman will spin tunes so guests can move to the beat.
Most importantly, event organizers encourage attendees to, “come as you are and bring your happy feet! It’s time to mix, mingle, and let go for awhile.”
West Chester offers free downtown parking on side streets and in the parking garage and parking lot on High Street.
