Find out which candidates for the Haverford School Board plan to help enact trans-affirming policy at the candidate forum on Sunday, April 30th, 2017.
The forum will take place at the Haverford Township Free Library from 2- 3:30 PM and will feature all candidates running: Kristin Larsen, Sal Scinto, Susan Mingey, Russ Bilotta, Denis Gray, and Phil Hopkins.
Each candidate will speak, and the event will end with a Q&A session. This event is in anticipation of the upcoming municipal primary on Tuesday, May 16th, 2017.
Are you worried about the lack of official protections for transgender children in Haverford school district and want to participate?
Show up, voice your concern about how transgender students at Haverford school district are vulnerable without a current trans-affirming policy, and ask candidates how they plan to offer protections and question those who don’t on why they refuse to protect the most vulnerable children.
OUTWORD.Today hopes to report back with the names of the candidates who confirm they will take action to support and protect transgender children by approving district-wide policy.
